Asset UPnP v3 & Compilations - display problems

Hi,

I am still using the updated version V3 beta from November 30th.
Since I read, that you will take up work on v3 soon, I have something that might be worth looking into: the display of compilation albums in both "browse" and "currently playing" windows.

I have a lot of musicals - and each track's ID tags are filled as follows:

ARTIST: each track's artist - delimited by ; if there are several artists for a track, which in musicals is quite likely

ALBUM ARTIST: the cast information, such as "Original London Cast 1997" etc.

COMPILATION: 1 - since there are different artists for each track, it certainly is a compilation

ALBUM: the musical's name


Right now, in all my control software, from Kinsky Desktop over PlugPlayer to Songbook, the track information does display both artist AND title.
You can imagine, that if a track just has two artists/singers (not to talk of quartets or quintets), I can't even see the track title anymore, since it's shifted way back.
Furthermore, upon playback, "now playing" displays the Album Artist as the artist of the currently playing song, which for compilations also is not a valid display.

Do you see any chance to resolve that or would that affect the display of other compilation albums - such as "best of the 80's" etc. - in a way, that makes them display wrong information?

This is correct, for Asset v3 - there will be settings to enable / disable these options, for now something like Kinsky Desktop does not need the track numbers, but it does need the tracks in the right order which they are not yet (major work on Asset v3 will commence shortly with a complete re-design of the database).

The Same thing happened to me, reset the containers to default but it still came through as alphabetical track listing with Kinsky desktop. I am rebuilding my home server today with bigger storage so will try foobar later.

A very unexciting bug report, maybe not even news: just took a look at the latest Asset V3 beta and noticed that tracks were provided to the control point without their track number prefix, so they come through in alphabetical order instead of track order. I'm using Kinsky Desktop. I haven't tried the other V3 betas, so not sure when it came in, but reverting to 2.1 fixes it.

Today I'm able to listen to radio time but sound breaks up sometimes, it is not very clear

I have installed v3

Previous version I was getting invalid file when playing radio time, I don't get invalid file with v3 when I play radio time. An improvement

I get radio station sound distortion not matter which station I play I don't get right audio

v3 will replace v2.1 when it is released, but for now it is only in Beta (hence why check for updates would offer to install 2.1 over v3).

What's the difference between Asset 3.0 beta and Asset 2.1? Does 2.1 replace 3.0 beta?
