Thanks for quick confirmation, though that is disappointing. If the cue has to match the track numbers verbatim, then I'd prefer DBPA make the cue with disc info from before the offset is applied. Also annoying but this way at least I can edit the filename/tags of the audio files later (ahead of recreating the CD). This is how my workflow in EAC works currently.

Also if there's any convenient way of communicating this to the user that also would be desirable. Perhaps in the ripping log file (if the user is making one)?

A cue is a 1:1 of the CD, you cannot add an offset to the tracks

I don't know if this is intentional or bug, but I noticed that this plugin does not create a .cue file *if* I use the "Apply Track Number offset" before I rip a CD.

The offset feature is very useful to me, because I rip a lot of audiobooks. I apply a track offset so that the second/third/fourth/etc. discs will sort nicely in order if I put all the files in one folder. So I'd prefer to keep using it if it's possible to update the plugin.

Because it is a virtual codec (calls other encoders) the secure ripping part cannot lookup where the files are ripped to.

I upgraded to dBpoweramp rel. 2024-5-30 64-bit and I successfully ripped a single FLAC image file with a corresponding cue sheet. I used the Secure Ripping Method with the Secure Extraction Log "Write To File" option enabled, but no log file was created.

You will need a much newer dBpoweramp, possibly R2024

    Hello!
I should have the current version of the codec.
I downloaded the codec this past Saturday from the "stuck" first post at the very beginning of this thread.
This is the download URL in that post and it's the only one I've seen in this thread.

I checked the codec file's Properties -> Details tab, but the "File Version" and "Product Version" properties are empty.

Given this method isn't recommended any more it's not completely feature complete, but I think it only lacks:
    FLAGS (PRE e.t.c)
    Ability to rip HTOA
Basic data disc metadata e.g. EAC will output MODEx/2xxx along with the INDEX position of where it starts

It might be worth reading this thread just in case there's something I've missed.
I did download and try the executable and glance through the thread before posting my question
    - lots of discussion about ripping to a single flac file, not a single wav file...and if it was a reasonable goal...
    - didn't get a log file created, but wasn't using secure mode as my cd is damaged, but will try that. Thanks for pointing that out.
    - can't always get the metadata for the CD... it's in MusicBrainz and I tried pasting the URL

when I do a rip as one in secure mode, with 'Rip to' 'CUE Single File Image', the rip runs and a file .IGNORE is listed as being created. The file doesn't exist.
If I rip to flac, flac files for each track are created...

Re: [codec] CUE Sheet Image Utility Codec

    Hello

I'm thinking of moving from EAC to dbpoweramp.
I want to rip a CD to a single .wav file and create the corresponding .cue file and a log file. Can I use this? If so, how? If not, is there anyway to do what I want?
    Thanks

    @Spoon

Don't you think it's time for this 'Utility Codec' to become 'Stable'. It's been a Beta since 2009.

IMO so is it very stable and does what it's supposed to.
