error converting m4b

I am attempting to convert an m4b file, that I downloaded today, to mp3, so that I can burn it to a cd; however, I keep getting the following error:

Error m4a audio file is corrupt. [clfaad::DecodeBlock]

I followed the directions when installing v6 of the decoder, including the nero plugin, but I still get this error. I have the .2 beta version on windows xp.

What next?

Im having exactly the same problem, the m4b plays in Itunes, but won't convert to an mp3

Was the m4b file purchased? it might be copy protected.
