artwork for apple lossless

.m4a files generated by the beta version are not tagged with artworks. When I imported track files into iTune, the artwork are not imported. Is there anyway to tag .m4a files with artworks and import them into iTune?

The current m4a codec for dMC does not support artwork, though I believe this is scheduled to be added at a later time.

What's the tag format that is used for .m4a file? Is there any third party tools to edit tags to include artworks?

The tagging standard is the iTunes standard. Third-party tools that add artwork to where iTunes can read it will work.

Note that if you do this and then use dMC to convert these files, the album artwork will not be copied over.
