from help (for those who don't/didn't know what multi-encoder is for)

A utility codec that encodes to two or more encoders at the simultaneously, for example Rip and Audio CD to both mp3 and ogg vorbis at the same time.

      Compatibility

Windows 98 or newer, Power Pack & dBpoweramp R12 or newer required.

        Re: [Multi Encoder] for R12

Just a note for anyone wondering:
If you add a codec twice to the list, you will get an error. You must specify a different output location for each codec to output to, or use dynamic naming to change the filename of the new file.

Note that there are some limitations to this codec, please read the help file to see what they are.

          1) When encoding to FLAC and MP3, the Encoder tag says, [Multi Encoder]. I would think it should detail the FLAC encoder in the FLAC file and the MP3 Encoder in the MP3.

          2) Same for the EncoderSettings tag.

          3) Additionally, the EncoderSettings tag should probably exclude the -tofolder and -dynamic settings lest the tag look like this:
          -enc1="mp3 (Lame)=-V 1" -encMopt1=" -tofolder={mqt}C:\Data Files\CD Rips{mqt} -dynamic={mqt}[IFCOMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],Various Artists[]\[album][IFMULTI] (Disc [disc])[]\[track] - [title] ([artist]) [][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[artist][]\[album][IFMULTI] (Disc [disc])[]\[track] - [title][]{mqt}" -enc2="FLAC=-compression-level-5" -encMopt2=" -tofolder={mqt}C:\Data Files\CD FLAC Rips{mqt} -dynamic={mqt}[IFCOMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],Various Artists[]\[album][IFMULTI] (Disc [disc])[]\[track] - [title] ([artist]) [][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[artist][]\[album][IFMULTI] (Disc [disc])[]\[track] - [title][]{mqt}"

          Thanks for the great tools!

          David

Thank you for this. Am I correct that I should wait until I update to R12.1 to install this new version?

And R12.1 is not currently ready for Reference users?

Therefore, I should wait for all those 'ducks' to line up?

              Thanks,
              D.

Correct, Reference users will not be able to use r12.1 until a future beta is released that supports Reference or, more likely, until the final r12.1 comes out.

If you are using [multi-encoder] then the bug has always been there, this new version will only help.

Am using R12.1 and multi-encoder, and can't seem to get the choice for dynamic naming. Am I missing something?

                        Re: [Multi Encoder] for R12

r12.1 is PowerPack only, so all Reference features are disabled, including dynamic naming.

I don't seem to be getting album art as folder.jpg file with multi-encoder. Do others have this issue?

It is not possible as cd ripper does not know where the multi encoder is saving to.
