ALAC/MP4/M4a codec for R12

Any signs of life on an iTunes (non-DRM) codec for release 12?

It is not on the list of codecs provided with the announcement, and the current codec on the site will not work with R12 registered that I just installed.

Seems like an odd thing to leave out of a major release given the popularity of the format.

It is in the works and should be coming out shortly. It is not out yet, as Spoon was approaching his deadline for the program and was concentrating on releasing r12 on time.
