    Feature Request - codec updates

I don't know if that kind of things go here, so sorry if it doesn't fits here. I was thinking about how difficult is to adapt a compresor for dbpoweramp, because the last version of AoTuV published for dbpoweramp is 4.51, and later there has been released r1 and b5, qith improvements to low bitrates, exactly what i need (i use vbr 80 kbps).

So i was thinking about if is someone who can adapt new versions of codecs quick, if spoon has not many time to work in that kind of things.

Sorry my english is very poor :p

You can always switch out the .exe encoder after you install the dMC aoTuV codec, as long as the command-line options did not change.

I tried it, but i don't know why, dbpoweramp prepares the music to dsp, and in the moment of convert it skips the file to the next. Obviously, it arrives to the 100% very quick, but in the destination folder there's nothing.

You are applying DSP effects? Can you convert without DSP effects?

Did you use "Locate Encoder" to point dMC to the .exe file? Is there an error message?

Now i have changed and it works. Sorry because of making you lose time. The problem was that the encoder was not the same. In the official page there are two files for download. One of them is "Ogg Vorbis aoTuV beta5 Encoder" and the other "OggEnc aoTuV beta5". There were different programs, so it didn't work. Lots of thanks for your help!

Also, make sure you install the normal Ogg Vorbis codec so that you can tag your Vorbis files!

You mean if i encode a file into vorbis with aotuv encoder and i have installed vorbis regular codec the tags will be translated into the new file or youre talking about the option in properties window?

I ask you because i dont need the 2nd feature.

Re: Feature Request - codec updates

If you only have the aoTuV codec, when you encode to Ogg Vorbis, your files will not have any tags. If you have both the aoTuV and the normal Ogg Vorbis codec, your files will have tags when you encode.
