How do I get tags from CDs converted by dmc to Apple Lossless to show up in iTunes

I ripped and converted a music CD directly to Apple Lossless using dmc's Apple Lossless and M4a/Mp4 codecs with no problems. Tags for the converted files (M4a) show up when the mouse hovers over the file name. But when I add the files to my iTunes Library, the tag information is missing. How do I get the tag info to show up in iTunes?
