How do I get db applications to recognize my cd Drives

Have a new Dell Deminsion 8300 with two drives, both work fine with other applications. Have XP Pro for OS. Lots of ram, lots of HD space. When I go to dMC audio options, there are no CD drives listed in the drop down box. Drives are listed in Device manager and DMA is enabled. Cannot access audio cd's in the drives to rip or burn and when try, get error message: "The CODEC required to decompress 'R:\Track01.cda' could not be opened.
Unable to access CD Drive 'R:\Track01.cda'" Would love to get by this. Thanks in advance Jim

This is me back again. Sorry to bother you but found the fix for this. Went to the configuration and selected the Win 2K option instead of ASPI and all is well. Sorry, should have dug a little bit more. Jim

Are you using an older version of dMC? Because now in dMC R11.5 those CD Communication options are called SCSI Direct Pass Through and Windows Internal Limited.

Think I might be. Think it is 11.0 and was going to ask of downloading 11.5 will give me a registered version?

If it is already registered, downloading R11.5 (trial) will stay registered as long as nothing is uninstalled.
