    ReplayGain in decoding MPC files

I noticed that when I transcode from MPC to WMA for mp3 player that the files are clipped. This means that the replaygain was not used when dbpoweramp was decoding from the MPC file. Is it possible to enable that option in the MPC plugin like the plugin for winamp?

    Thanks in advance.

Re: ReplayGain in decoding MPC files

dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC) is not set up to handle ReplayGain in its current configuration. This is planned for version 12 of dMC which is still a ways off.

dMC with the Power Pack does offer DSP effects (namely volume normalization and volume quieten) that should help prevent clipping if the clipping is coming from the source file. If, however, the clipping is coming from the ReplayGain information itself (this strikes me as a possibility but I have no basis for knowing whether this is a possibility or not), then those DSP effects are unlikely to help.

    Best wishes,
    Bill
