How do I use Random Selector to choose tracks to download to an MP3 player?

I would like to choose a number of tracks at random and then download. After I click OK on the Random Selector how do I tell which tracks were selected?

You can sort on the icon, selected ones will appear at the top.

Thanks Spoon. That is what I thought would happen but for example, if I say select 10 tracks and then sort by ICON I do not see 10 tracks selected with any particular icon.

Using Random Selector to select 10 tracks in My Music Collection (MMC) the 10 selected tracks will appear at the top of the MMC window highlighted (in the default MMC skin this highlighting will be manifested by a gray background behind your selected tracks.

        Best wishes,

After getting very strange results attempting to use the random selector I decided to reload the music collection to see if that made a difference. Now I have two questions:

          1. Is there an upper limit to the number of songs the music collection can handle? When it got to about 3900 it hung up and never added the approximately 400 more that were out there.

          2. Also after rebuilding the music collection, the random selector worked as advertised (sorting the songs to the top in a grayed out area) exactly once. Now I am back to the same problem as before.

No upper limit, perhaps a bad file that is crashing it?
