An audio cd is a particular kind of cd. All audio file types have to be in uncompressed PCM wav format (16-bit, 44.1KHz, 2-channel stereo) for there to be no conversion. Any other file types will need to be converted to that. dCW internally performs the necessary conversions if your source files are of different formats. An audio cd is playable in a standard cd player. Standard cd players usually do not play any other types of cd's, such as mp3 cd's.
If perhaps you want to keep mp3's and wma's and other types as such, then what you want to make is not an audio cd but a data cd.
You will achieve this in dCW when you select "Mp3 cd" and use the Smart button and specifically add the file types you do not want converted and rather kept as such. Then what you will in fact get is a data cd with all those files types left intact.Last edited by ChristinaS; May 18, 2005, 03:58 AM.
