Did you create an Audio CD or a CDROM? When you create an Audio CD Nero should convert the mp3 files to the correct format. Creating a CDROM will just result in Nero copying the mp3 files to the CD.

You have to use a CD burning program to burn the mp3 files into either an audio CD or a data mp3 CD. These burning programs include Nero, Easy CD&DVD Creator, and dbPowerAmp CD Writer.
