    newbie dBpowerAMP help needed?!

after reading this forum for a long time ,im still confused
I want the real name or tag to show on the WMP mp3s iv burned to cd,on XP. So i can see what they are. How do I do this using dBpowerAMP?

do you select all, then what command? I realize this will copy them to my hard drive, thats ok, but I want to see the names of artist, song ,instead of numbers ending in.mp3

Do your files have ID tags? What kind?

In dMC Configuration you can specify what kind of ID tags you want created when you create mp3 files.

[B]ID3v2 & ID3v1 /B] seems the be the right setting as far as mp3's are concerned.

If your files don't already have ID tags I don't think you can do much about it except create those tags yourself - or re-create the mp3 files with tags form whatever original cds you have.

Windows Media PLayer needs the Title field in the ID tag to be filled out in order to display that instead of the file name .

you did not tell me the steps to add tags?

they are Windows Media PLayer mp3s, they have info encoded, as if import into itunes it shows them
