How do I Convert .aa to .mp3?

I've looked all over the forum, and maybe I missed it, but is there a way to convert my audio files from my Ipod to .mp3 files? My hard drive crashed, and I lost all my information, and I got my books off the ipod, but I have no idea how to convert the files. Thanks for any help.
