Is there any possible way to split up mp3 files that are too large to fit on one disc?

You mean too big to fit as an mp3 or to fit as an audio cd track?

In any case, you can use Audacity to split mp3 and wav files. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

convert the file to a lossless wav file and open up in an audio editor and slit them. You can also use an audio slitting program.

Save the wav files and convert back to mp3.

MP3 Direct Cut is another free program which can do this, available from http://www.mpesch3.de/

It is supposed to split files without decoding/encoding the MP3 data.
