got 3 hits, nothing close to what i'm looking for but it was
worth a try.

When you see a standalone amplifier (for a stre system, not a PA system) it will have line-in and line-out. The cassette deck will also have line-in and line-out. The amplifier will also usually have aux-in. Aux-out is I think meaningless. Any out is an in somewhere.

Don't bother looking fro optical digital in the same breath.
