How can I do a bulk / batch conversion from flac to mp3?

I have several dozen CDs that I've ripped to flac files with a standard directory structure of "Artist\Album\songfile". Does dbpowerAMP provide any way to do a batch conversion of all files in the directory structure from one format to another?

What I would like to do would be to save the converted files to another location while preserving the directory structure.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Never tried it myself, but have you looked at dMC File Selector? It's in the Optional downloads at http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm.

That appears to be exactly what I was looking for. Are there any plans for the file selector add-on to be incorporated into dbpowerAMP proper?

Yes. It is incorporated in the current beta version of dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC) along with another module, dMC Auxilary Input. You can check this out at the Beta forum.
