breaking up large mp3 files into smaller files

Is there software that will allow one take an extremely long MP3 ....say 75000 kb and break it into 3-4 smaller files?

Try Audacity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/windows.php (supposed to be free).

MP3 Direct Cut is another free program which can do this, available from http://www.mpesch3.de/

It is supposed to split files without decoding/encoding the MP3 data.
