    File Size

I have some audio files of various formats with bit rate less than 32Kbps which is the lowest in dMC. How can I convert them to, say, MP3 at the same bit rate as that of the original, so that the converted file is not unnecessarily large?

    Re: File Size

I guess converting to mp3 is out of question since the lowes bit rate available in dMC is 32kbps.

You could try Windows Media, it goes as low as 8kbps for 8-bit mono.

Thanks for the reply. I tried with a lower frequency (24000 Hz), and I could match the quality with the original which is less than 32Kbps.
