No Metadata at all since Freedb shutdown

I'm running an older version but since freedb shut down, I'm unable to access ANY metadata. No titles, artists, anything. In CD Ripper, in the "Retrieve Metatdata From" menu, Musicbrainz and Discogs is greyed out. The only options showing are Freedb and dbpoweramp cache. I get nothing from them. This used to work flawlessly. I've searched but don't see clear instructions to configure this. I've checked my firewall and it doesn't seem to be blocking. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Update to the latest version of dBpoweramp.

I was running an older version by mistake. I was registered 17.4 PowerPack. So, I uninstalled and installed 17.4. Still see all Metadata providers greyed out, except Freedb. Do I have to upgrade to Reference now to get this to work, or am I missing something?

Reference is required for all metadata.
