Upgrading and Configuring Asset

When I try to upgrade Asset I cannot as it is in use (Kinsky). When I try to configure the copy of Asset that is in use there is no response to clicking on the icon. How do I
1. take asset out of use so I can upgrade
2. enable the configure menu.

Uninstall Asset and restart your computer.

Many Thank; Unstalling Asset is achieved, I am told, by moving the app to the trash. This is refused as the app is in use! How do i take it out of use?

Try restart computer, full shutdown and restart.
