    Which audio format?

Which program put the artwork there?

By Edit Window you mean right click on file >> edit ID tags?

The mp3 file looks corrupted to me, that is not a valid art work by the looks of it.

The artwork in question is a 1500 x 250 gray bar, which Beatport embeds in both MP3 and AIFF files. In Windows 10's File Explorer, if I delete the front cover image from a file via the ID-Tag tab, the file icon changes from the cover to a tiny waveform image:

I suppose the gray bar is used for this. I can confirm that it cannot be deleted via the ID-Tag tab nor from the "Edit ID-Tag" context menu (which I just noticed).

Can Music Converter or Batch Converter be used to strip out unwanted tags?

@tony13ny I've been informed that the problem will be fixed in dBpa 16.2.

                    Re: artwork

I just installed 16.2 and was able to delete the gray bar via both the ID-Tag tab in Properties and the Edit ID-Tag dialog.

The gray bar now is described as "A Bright Coloured Fish." Which is odd as it is, and doubly so as it was marked as "Undefined" (or similar) in 16.2. Not that it matters, since it can now be dealt with.
