Adjust Volume

Hi,

I been a long term user of DB poweramp as it works great for ripping my CD's. I tried some of the features and hope I don't have to re-rip individual tracks. So here is my question.

I'm trying to create playlist from my CD collection that is ripped to wav.files. I have collected so many different releases over the years and the volume is varying on each CD. I tried to rip some CD, using noralize volume and that works fine, but it does't work using music converter for wav. files even if it is possible to use that feature, but nothing changces in the actual file. Is there any solution to this matter?

You are best:

Ripping to something like FLAC, which is like wave, yet has better tagging.
Rip with the DSP effect 'ReplayGain' and this calculates the loudness and writes to a Tag which a compatible player (search for Replaygain and player) can use.

The means the audio is not changed from the CD. If you must do volume normalize, then convert the flac library to a different location with batch converter with the Volume Normalize DSP effect.
