    Foobar2000 Alternate

Looking for an option to Foobar2000. I love the illustrate products and use them with all my music files. Foobar2000, not so much. Media Monkey I tried a long time ago and J River required a BA in tech babble. Thanks-

you mention not liking media monkey or JRiver. What's your issue with foobar2000. Unless we understand what it is you don't like, it is hard to recommend an alternative that may not have the issue you don't like. foobar2000 can be complicated or can be easy. It is almost infinitely adjustable....

(Foobar2000) It is difficult to determine making skins, new plug ins are hard to install if you made Foobar the "mobile" installation, which I have... I have G-Force and can not find a plugin in to add G-Force. My biggest hardship is reading all the different steps/ways to add/make skin as well as incorporate steaming from music services. (J River) Too much to comprehend. I had it set up then made a couple of additions and it became a nightmare. I only play flac files. (Media Monkey) Tried it briefly and was not impressed after Foobar2000 and J-River...\I used to us Winamp. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I use simple foobar2000 setup with "facets" plugin to make library navigation easier for me, show artwork, etc. A couple of plugins (last.fm audioscrobbler, replaygain)....nothing fancy. skins are irrelevant to me. I only care about navigation and delivery of the bitperfect audio to my players. Why not continue to use Winamp if it worked for you. It is discontinued, but the last version still works just fine.
