Edit ID Tags: Embed Album Art Not Working (How to fix?)

I have it so edit ID Tags option appears when I right click a audio file. Even though I select a cover and click on ok, it doesn't show up when I play the file. This applies to wav, flac, mp3, and ogg. Some works but 99% of them don't. When i go into the setting again, the art isnt even there. How do I fix this?

looks like the wav files im trying to embed art into has riff tagging. Will perfect tunes convert it to id3 tagging?

or do I have to use mp3tag which I tried and it converted riff to id3, but my question is does it affect the sound quality at all when I convert it to a different tagging system?

It is an option (control center >> codec options), however if the wave file already has a LIST tag, then an id3 tag is not created, unless you convert all your wave files to [ID Tag Update] which will create the id3 tag.

is this in perfect tunes or dbpoweramp control center? I changed the tag creation for wav from id3 to default (LIST & ID3). Im asking cause I don't have perfect tunes and want to know before buying it

If they have an ID3v1 tag, then that cannot have album art, you would have to do the same for those files to get to ID3v2.3

the mp3 are from a youtube to mp3 downloader. Still doesn't show up even though it's embedded in the file. It's fine as I only have a handful of mp3s. As long I got it to work with wav, im happy : )

Oh! And adding tags to wav through this method won't effect the files audio quality right? Just the way its tagged?
