I think that I made a mistake with my initial order

I decided this was the software I wanted to use to rip my CD collection into FLAC files. In the past I was using JRiver and I never encountered any problem. I am using Plextor DVD/CD and I have about 800 CD's that are all in mint condition or brand new. I did some research and the information regarding this software was the most convincing and compelling, that I bought the complete package, After my purchase was completed, I was prompted to add an additional purchase for the "Tunes" component, which is critical to the original set up. I immediately requested a cancellation and a refund, I then reordered and the :tunes: component was checked and the order went through for $156. I could use some advice or basic help. All I want to do is rip all of my CD's and have them ripped to perfect FLAC files, with all the appropriate Meta Data. Did I "over order:? I have no plans to put the files into server set ups. I simply want to be able to set up play lists, retrieve the original CD's. I want to put the collection of songs onto a NVME 2-4 TB SSD inside an adapter and give a copy to each of my 4 daughters, for we were missionaries in Taiwan and my music was my girls! For on Taiwan radio there was Casey Casem every Sunday night and that was the family music listening night together. Could someone let me know if I am purchasing the right combination of this software, or did I buy more than I needed. Thank you

I never installed the software, but thank you so much for the refunds. I apologize for creating work for someone. I still want to use the "Best" CD Ripper Software, but I do not know which is the correct purchase. The link just takes me back to my original questions.

Do I need to purchase CD Ripper + Perfect Tunes + Fusion?

Everyone who burns CDs will eventually put their music (All or playlists) on a USB drive or a USB Adapter that supports a SSD.

In my case, I will rip 800 Family CDs onto one PC. After I have the "Library" Of Lossless FLAC files completed, I will make copies for my 4 daughters by placing an M.2 drive in a USB adapter and plug it into my PC USB port.

Which leads me to ask the question regarding FUSION. Does the CD Ripper Software allow for this process and no additional software (Fusion) will be needed.

Assuming I do the ripping job properly, is it safe to assume I won't need Perfect Tunes to fix things?

My questions seem legitimate, but the answer (one link) makes me feel that I don't need additional purchases besides the CD Ripper. That is just my assumption, but I do not want to get this wrong again.

Please tell me what should be in my cart when I purchase dB software for ripping CD's? I have asked for help multiple times, but I am not getting answers directed to my specific questions.

Am I the only customer that has ever been confused by the additional software, Fusion and Perfect Tunes? I am starting to feel like I am in the old TV program, called Night Gallery.

      Thank you.

dBpoweramp Music Converter - for ripping CDs and converting existing files.
PerfectTUNES for correcting tags of already ripped files, managing the library (finding duplicates), missing art work, etc
TuneFUSION - it is there to automate the synchronization of a music library (normally in lossless), to another format, such as mp3 for a car on a usb stick.

I currently have no existing library. I am starting from scratch, with my CD collection and I have nothing to fix or to add ( What perfect Tunes would add.) After I am done with CD Ripper and I have 800 CDs (Albums), all burned to a Lossless FLAC file collection, and I have a USB input to one of my devices, will it play directly from my USB Adapter with a 4 TB M.2 (Samsung 9100 Pro 4 TB) The device is not asking for a conversion to an MP3. It will play directly from the device as I am converting the signal to i2S and it inputs into my Topping Diii Pro ESS DAC. From what you wrote, it would seem most people end up needing the TuneFusion software (To Play a USB full of select music through their DAC, and I would think sooner or later, most people need to fix things and therefore purchase PerfectTunes. I won't be setting up a server so that leaves out one software. If I purchase the three, do I buy the CD Ripper and then individually add the other two? Can I put the software on both of my PC's or do I need to buy the family pack. I am starting to think many people just buy the suite for $146. It appears that the process can become quite complicated if one wants it to be. I am hoping for a straight forward ripping of CD after CD, right down the line, without any special needs. When men rushed into the digitizing of our voices, no one ever thought how sophisticated God's Analog system was and how difficult it would be to ever get back to the place we started from! Thank you for your time. I will order the 3. Is there any package deal for Music? Blessings and thank you again, David

            Hey David,

I'm using dBpa for about 12 years now. Til today I don't have no need to buy TuneFusion. I've ripped my entire CD Collection to flac or converted my online bought albums to flac. Those flac files are the reference and source for my two mp3 file collections for my mobile music player and car audio system (the collections differ in album art resolution slightly). flac files and mp3 files are created simultaneously when I rip, or I batch convert the flac files to mp3 in case I've edited the metadata of the flac files afterwards. All three collections have always the same content in regard of albums and tracks.

For me the distribution of music to different players and audio systems is just a question of which files to copy (copy & paste for selections or the Windows inherent tool "robocopy" to sync the entire collection). That's all.
