Hello!
I'm using a Pioneer BDR-XD08UMB-S, which is a great device for ripping audio CD's. To this point I have been using freac in Linux. The reason I bought this was to "contribute" back so that dbPowerAmp could push results to the database for others to check against. Most of my CD's are in excellent condition. I've also found that dbPowerAmp appears to be a bit faster and has great control over the speed it rips CD's. BTW - freac had no problem with respect to excellent results, and had very few "bad tracks" on CD's (2 out of 1000 so far)
Running the Pioneer under Linux, the eject button on freac worked well and I could use that, or just press the button on the unit. Well, that's changed a bit. For some unknown reason, dbPowerAmp does not want to eject the CD by software control. If i try that FIRST, the physical button will NOT eject it. I actually have to disconnect the CD USB cable, and plug it back in. If I close the dialog box with no further software interaction, I can use the eject button and it works.
NOTE: I am using a Windows 10 Virtual machine under Linux, and also need to point out I have never had any trouble with any connected hardware, and I run a lot of different types of HW. But still...any possibility it's a pass-through issue?
Any explanation for this?
Thanks,
Gary
