    Synology dsm7

I created a shared folder and put lots of music on it.
am trying to install asset upnp but in stsge 2 it asks you to create a music share.
How do i get files from share I have created to the share I must now create.
being a beginner I don't really understand any of this.
I don't wish to use the synology product
    Please help

    See this:

Section 1: installing In order to Install Asset UPnP on Synology DSM, use the Package Manager and point it to your .SPK file and click thru all the prompts. You now have Asset installed and listed under packages: Section 2: security permissions With Synology DSM 7, applications must be specifically permitted to

In this example your path would be /volume1/My Share/

Capitals are important on Linux based systems.

Hi. I still don't understand section 2. The way I read it I would have to create another shared folder and then transfer all files on share I already have to the new share as it says if share I already have would not be recognised.
sorry to sound too stupid. Must be my age

Any existing folder can give asset read permission, follow the pages in the link to do this.
