The reasons are two-fold-but-the-same; First, I use rsync to keep my remote house-server's media folder in sync and then I also use OneDrive as my off-site archive ("unlimited" storage with Office 365). In both cases, the ReplyGain update leave the file looking the same from the perspective of timestamp and size, which is the trigger both seem to use to sync files.

Now, rsync will do block checksums and only update those blocks that have changed - in this case the tags - and I think that's how OneDrive works too.
I have the exact same problem. However, in another thread some kind person pointed me towards Bulk File Changer.

Really quick and easy to use. Run on your newly changed files and you can update the "modified" date/time which should trigger your backup service to recognize the change.

    As a workaround I found this: http://superuser.com/questions/10426...-command-touch

which suggests "copy /b [FILESPEC]+,," as a way to manually update timestamps.

Can I make this a (small) feature request then? Perhaps a default-off tick box for "Update timestamp on write" in the [ReplayGain] util codec?

It is not currently possible, sorry.
