AIFF format CD

I have been charged with the task of preparing a CD with instructions "burned in AIFF format". Perhaps this is a silly question but does this mean you convert whatever format it may be (m4a, m4p, mp3, etc) into AIFF and simply burn those converted tracks to CD?

Where is the CD going to be used? in a normal CD player?

Thanks for the reply. The CD will be used in a Mac I do believe, providing music content for a video. Thank you,

You can convert tracks to AIFF, then whoever creates the final video can use the AIFF.
