Reference 15.1 update

I have Registered Reference 15 installed (Windows 8.1, 64 bit).

Can I install the update over the old version, or do I have to uninstall 15 first in order to update to 15.1?
And if so, will I loose my settings?

Sorry if I'm asking a question that has already been answered but I've searched the forum and couldn't find any related post.

Best to uninstall, then reinstall, no settings are lost.
