How do I keep registration in mobile application?

I have installed dbPowerAmp on my Samsung Tab 7 along with all of my MP3 files. This is for use in my car, so it is not continuously connected to the internet. After several days of working fine, it refused to run. The error message was something about how it couldn't verify my registration. When I brought it back in the house and in range of my WiFi network, it worked fine. Is there any way to keep it operating without periodically getting it into contact with the net?

Also - even though I checked the 'hide registration icon', it still shows on the home page. ???
