restoring CD Ripper settings after hard drive crash

The hard drive on my computer died and I replaced it. I restored dBpoweramp using the link in "Registration Problems and Download Link or Reinstalling". I have recreated the encoder settings as best I can from memory but since I have a backup of the hard drive I was wondering if the settings are stored in a file.

I also tried to follow the instructions in the CD Ripper setup guide but ran into a problem. It says to click on Options and change the ripping method to secure. When I click on Options I only have two choice, "Encoder priority" and "After ripping".
How can I be sure that secure ripping is configured correctly?

They are stored in the registry and it is not easy getting them out of a registry of a windows which is not running.

Click the options button, not the down arrow next to it.
