IDE to SATA converter for Plextor PX-230A

Hello, I need some help to connect a Plextor PX-230A to a SATA motherboard with no IDE but I can´t find the information. I read in some post that the adapters are unreliable but others talk about the Addonics ADIDESA IDE to Serial ATA Converter. Could someone give me some orientation on how to do it with quality enough to make justice to the PX-230A?.

This is my motherboard (X-58 Sabertooth): http://http://www.asus.es/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1366/SABERTOOTH_X58/
    Thanks, Juan

The only issues are USB adaptors, IDE >> SATA should have no issues.

Thanks Spoon, I´ve found these ones:

      Digitus converter http://www.digitus.info/windows/en/p...pter-ds-33150/

Delock, this one need to install the drivers: http://www.delock.de/produkte/gruppe...setLanguage=EN

Which one of these two types you think is the best to avoid any kind of bottleneck?

Go for the one which does not require drivers, as drivers will likely block the CD drive working with advanced SCSI commands.

Hi Spoon, I used the adapter without drivers as you said and it is working perfectly in my new 230A. By the way, let me ask you a couple of questions:

            - the firmware in my 230A is the 1.02 version, would you recommend to upgrade the firmware to the latest version 1.03?. It seems that it improves the writing process but I only use the drive to rip cds.
            - I´ve tried to find out the best settings for the 230A to rip with dBpoweramp but I can´t find it. Could you let me know what are they in a short list?.

I´m not sure either if the 230A can use FUA.

            Thanks

I think the 230A can use FUA, because I have tried it by myself!

                230A does not support FUA
