You would have to restore to: HKCU\Software\Wow64Node (or similar)\Illustrate

Hi Spoon I don't know if I was clear in my previous message on this topic I want to save all of the settings and when I exported the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Illustrate] all of the info wasn't merged onto the other system like the replace charictor info and all of the tag info that I wanted to be removed from my flac files please help thanks.

        Re: Backing up dbpoweramp settings

On a 64 bit OS dBpoweramp would not write to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Illustrate

only the path I gave above.

            HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\Illustrate

this is where dbpoweramp would write to on 64 bit OS.

The old OS is 32 or 64 bit, the new OS is 32 or 64 bit?

You're not alone, coreytk. I use dBp on 64bit systems exclusively....have for years. I have no entry for Illustrate in that key either.

I would love a definitive answer to backing up the dbpower amp settings to restore them after a format and reinstall thx. Using a win7 64bit system to restore to from a 64bit operating system win7.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit and all my AudioSafe and dBpoweramp settings are written to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Illustrate.

I do have the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Illustrate key, but there isn't much else there.
