Edit ID Tag Without Changing File Modified Date?

Windows 7 64.

Using the right click "Edit ID Tag" context menu item alters the file "date modified" attribute. I understand that altering a tag actually is modifying a file, I was just wondering if there is a setting or method to change ID tag info without altering that "modified" date attribute.
