    Backing up CDs to HDD

Hi I have finally got my hands on a Kodak Kiosk G4 Datatronics CD/DVD Dispenser (a re-badged Datatronics DVD WD1) and want to rip my old CD collection to HDD.

Which software should I use and are there any tricks I should be aware of. Ideally I just want to put a whole lot of CDs in the hopper and have them losslessly and automatically copied to HDD.

    Thanks for any help.

You would use Batch Ripper, there used to be a Kiosk driver for it, but the author removed it so we can no longer offer any driver.

      Hi Spoon,

This is a newer Kodak Kiosk than the versions you used to support. It is a DVD unit with USB->IDE made by Datatronics (i.e. not serial and a different robot set-up).

I note that ImgBurn took an unmodified driver direct from Acronova for the USB powered Nimbie (http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14158) and that driver works reasonably well for the Kodak USB unit I have.

I am no good at programming but when I compare the Acronova .exe to your's it seems to have a lot more model specifications in it's Resource Table; how easy is it to transfer those models to a new .exe for dbp?

Thanks for your patience on this.

We will be supporting the Nimbie in the next few months.

Does anyone have more information on how to get the Datatronics DVD WD1 to function as a cd ripper? I am out of ideas. Thanks Gery

It is a stand alone unit?
