Ripping SACD

I have a number of SACD discs, most notably from the BIS record label.

These discs have a 4.0 surround sound layer as well as an ordinary 16bit 2 channel CD layer.

I know that FLAC (the format I rip all my music to for playback on the XBMC HTPC) supports multi-channel audio but I have only been able to rip these SACDs to 2 channel.

Is it possible to rip to multi-channel from these discs?

That's disappointing. But hey ho - I now have about 5000 albums available anywhere in my home in CD quality and so I shouldn't complain.
