Pop-Up Information Tips Only Work in a Few Folders?

I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 7, 64-bit installed on it and I installed dBpoweramp R14. It's always been a good program and I've never really had a problem with it. However, I've noticed that the 'pop-up information tips' tool only works in 2 folders; my main username folder and the My Music folder. Why? In Vista I was able to use it in every single folder, didn't matter. I tried moving a file where it didn't work to my main username folder and of course, it only popped up there. This is wierd and annoying, I love that feature. It also used to work when I was exploring for files in Winamp and other programs, but now it only displays the the artist, size, and type.

Please help, this is starting to annoy me. I really love that feature. :-)

Are there no popup info tips at all? for the other folders? if no, then it is probably a setting in Windows Explorer.

The only folders that show information tips are my main username folder and My Music. Every other folder does not show information tips, including my external hard drive. When I had Windows Vista, it worked everywhere. It won't show tips in Winamp now either.

Create a .txt (text) file, see if there is a popup for that, if there is none then you need to look why Windows has disabled all popups, rather than a dbpoweramp specific issue.

Okay, so I tried creating multiple .txt files in different folders and the pop-ups for those files work just fine. Pop-ups also work for .avi video files from what I found too, though the pop-ups never say much anyways, just file type etc.

Maybe it is an access rights issue, the files might have a permission set which stops dbpoweramp from reading the files.

AFAIK there is no way of debugging this, as popups are not limited to folders, they are system wide.

Sigh... I really want to fix this issue. Has anyone else ever reported it on Windows 7? I hate not being able to view pop-up tips in other folders besides My Music. There has to be a fix!!!
