How do I use VivoActive G.723.1

    Hello Everybody,

I'm trying to convert some Wave Files into MP3 Files (lame). My Problem is that these audio files are created by an application with the VivoActive G.723.1 codec. The Company wich has created this codec can't give me support because they closed business. I got an MSI-Package from the Internet which gives me the oportunity to play these files by using the Windows Media Player. So the VivoActive G.723.1 codec should be on my computer now. Unfortunaly I can't convert these files by using dbpoweramp because the codec is unknown. Is there any possibility to extract the codec from Windows media player to dbpoweramp?

I've attached an archive containing the following:
    - Wave file VivoActive G.723.1
    - MSI Package installing the codec in WMP
    - another .exe file that should also contain the VivoActive G.723.1 codec

Would be glad if someone could help me!!!

    Hi Lownex,

From what I can read in the 'dBpoweramp DirectShow Decoder' help file, you should be able to install this codec from dBpoweramp Codec Central. It apparently allows any file which can be decoded by Windows Media Player to be read by dBpoweramp, so give it a try!
