best ripping method for audio + video CDs

I have a few of these with included bonus video. What are the best current recognized standards/methods/tools/guide/link to rip the video part ?

Same question for a CD-Rom (2nd CD in a 2CD set).

The video is just files on the Disc, browse with windows explorer and copy the files off.
