How do I remove duplicate tags?

My control point software (Kinsky Desktop and Chorus) lists 2 albums.
a - album with all 10 tracks
b - same album with only 1 track

I am using MP3tag for tag editing.

Can anyon tell me how to remove the duplicate album listing from the database?

Perhaps some of the tracks have compilation '1' and the one that is on its own does not. Or they might have album artist set.

Thanks for the quick response but I'm afraid I don't understand it.
Can you explain in a bit more detail exactly what the album listing is based on, where its shored, if it can be deleted, etc?
Are you saying that if there is a minor diference in one track tag, that tag could spawn a separate album listing?

You do not need to remove the offending track, only make that track part of the existing album. Some of the tags for that one track might be incorrect and making the track be separate to the album.

Thanks for that.
In fact original rip had an error on one track. I cleaned and re-ripped the track without success. So finally, I downloaded the one track from MP3Sparks and put it in the album folder.
I'll have a careful look at the tag to ensure that it's identical to the ripped track tags.

I have solved this one now.
The duff rip is still in the insecure folder.
I will delete the tag and then delete the file in the insecure folder.
