    ID3 v1 tags

I can burn CDs with mp3 and play them in my car, but as my autoradio only recognizes ID3v1 (1.0 or 1.1), it is very often that only the filename appears (but no title, artist, album,...) on the autoradio screen.

I would like (1) read on each mp3 file the ID3 v1 tags that are really written,
and (2) complete the missing infos by writing.

As far as I've seen with my R14 dBpoweramp I can copy ID3v1 to ID3v2, or from ID3v2 to ID3v1 (in a blind way) by using the F11 key.

Is there a way to see what is exactly written in the ID3v1 fields?

    Re: ID3 v1 tags

You are best using dBpoweramp Configuration >> Codecs >> Advanced >> mp3 ID Tagging set to 'ID3v1 & Id3v2', then use ID Tag update on your mp3 files to automatically file all the id3v1 fields from id3v2
