metadata without ripping CD?

Is there a way to generate metadata and get album art without having to do a complete rip of the CD?

We want to be able to tray a disc and quickly grab this information.

I couldn't find an answer to this question (via search), but if it has been answered in the past, a link to that forum post would be great.

Sorry there is no way with dbpoweramp.
