Installing R14 upgrade

I am currently using R13.4 and just purchased the upgrade to R14.
Can I install R14 over R13.4 or do I need to remove the old version first?
Will the new install use the setup / configuration values from R13.4?

Uninstall version 13.4 first, you shouldn't lose your settings. No need to uninstall any codecs.
