I have an existing folder structure for all my music, but within the individual album name folders the tracks do not all follow a single naming convention. In the course of converting APEs to FLAC I want to be able to keep my existing folder structure, and alter only the file names in the output.
Example:
Existing Folders: Music\Aretha Franklin\Aretha's Gold.
The track names inside the last folder look like this:
Aretha Franklin - Aretha's Gold - (1969) - 03 - Respect
During the conversion I want the file names to look like this:
03 - Respect
Without any changes to the folder structure.
I tried various things in the convert dialog, and either ended up with a real mess or with essentially the same file names converted to the right music format.
I recognize this is total noobish territory (and I feel pretty dumb), but I did read the Naming Scheme tutorial - I'm just having trouble making it work for me. If I can get this part of it down I'm buying a license on pay day (Wednesday), because this is hands down the best conversion software I have ever used, and I have an extensive music collection already on the computer and much more waiting to be ripped.
All help appreciated.
