how do I upgrade dMC, PowerPack,AuxiliaruInput,FileSelector?

    hello to all,

rather old install - currently taken from dMC Configuration

    DMC rel 9a
    PowerPack rel 3
    AuxInput rel 3
    FileSelector rel 4b

    codecs

monkey audio rel 6 monkey 3.97
    mp3 lame lame ver 3.92
ogg vorbis rel 8 ogg v1.0
    wave .wav
win media audio v8 rel 4 .wma

I read the forum faq re upgrade/install closed thread; because of this old install I'm affraid to proceed with r13.3 and sweta (alredy downloaded off this site). what about the codecs upgrade ?.

any help appreciated. I do not want to damage the current install .

    peter.

Note that AuxInput is no longer included in R13. You should uninstall R9 and all codecs and install R13

        thanks spoon,

taken; however, how do I get lp's content transfered/converted without AuxInput interface ?

if not included in r13 is there any other way ? or,

        maybe, is the old rel3 compatible/functional under r13 ?

        thanks in advance,
        peter

Re: how do I upgrade dMC, PowerPack,AuxiliaruInput,FileSelector?

            thanks Wayne,

looking at the url indicated, i appears that I have to 'jump through some hoops' so to speak in order to upgrade somehow but not to registered r13.3 and sveta that I dowloaded the other day; more to the point

            - it appears (correct me if I'm wrong) that r11.5 is the last rel of dbpoweramp that is still compatible/functional with the AuxInput, file selector and codecs that are currently installed (see prev post) and working quite nice;

            - so, if I install r11.5 dbpoweramp without touching existing working installation there will be no damage done to it, everything will be still chugging along ok;

Q1: - is this true or false pls ?

            - if true (no damage)

Q2: -the first problem that I'm facing is, where from can I get a registered r11.5 or, to be more specific, is the r11.5 that apparently can be downloaded from the link indicated good/smart enough to recognize the registered r9a installed and functional ?.

            - ...'Install Release 12 of Music Converter into a different folder, such as dBpowerampR12 (without uninstalling previous version, same for Codecs)'....

Q3: - the second problem that I'm facing is, where from can I get a registered r12 ?

any idea timewise/horizon when r13.3 will have al the other 'goodies' mentioned on this thread functional ?

            regards,
            peter.

R13 should be installed after R11.5

R11.5 was the last one to be compatible with AuxInput.

                thank you spoon,

ok, r11.5 upgrade will have to do for the time being - that is to keep/preserve all functions and codecs of dbpweramp as installed (mandatory in my case).

r13.3 can be installed but to a diff folder with the understanding that support for lp's extraction/conversion will be avail at a future date.

                - please tell me if i use r11.5 file from the link on

mentioned by Wayne will my current install still preserve the registered status ? or do I need a registered r11.5 ?

if the latter, where from can I get it please ?

                regards,
                peter.
