    ripping issue . . .

I have decided to re-rip my CD's to WAV (previously in FLAC) so off I go and I start with MUSE's latest album - but no matter what settings I choose the end of the first track cuts off prematurely by a split second and sounds awful!

When ripped in FLAC this does not happen - why is this?

Also how does one detect gaps when ripping uncompressed WAV files - what are the ideal settings!

    Re: ripping issue . . .

Wave if uncompressed is lossless, as is FLAC, so the files should be identical. Convert the FLAC file to wave and see if it plays ok, if not then potentially it is your playback software with the issue, not the file.
