    Rip error on first track

Every time I rip a CD, the first track show an error, while all the other tracks are accurate or generally fine. I then have to redo the first track and it will rip fine the second time.
Am I missing something with my set up and how can I fix this?

Perhaps spinning up the drive first could solve the problem... there is a setting for this, of course, so I'd give it a try.

FYI, I found that over-reading the lead-out sectors can cause the final track to fail AccurateRip, so I had to disable that function for the bulk of my CDs.

The first track starts to rip and stops at around 15%, starts to encode and finally there will be a red cross and the word error under Rip Status column. All the remaining tracks will rip accurately. I have a second drive on my PC and the results are identical. Since I do not know how to solve this, I will rerip inaccurate and insecure tracks and this will then rip the first track.

Hello, was there a solution provided? I have exactly the same error message. It asks something about "disk full?" which is definitely not the case. It is, by the way, a network path to my NAS.

          Regards

If there is an error on the first file, something is stopping the file from writing on the NAS.

I don't get a rip error on the first track but other tracks on the CD. I've had this happen on new CD's where I know there is not a scratched CD. The program will automatically re rip different sectors but this takes 40 minutes for one track. What can I do to avoid this?

Was there a sollution on this? Have the same problem. Ripping to NAS. Flac. Nothing to do with spin up time. The problem is gone with saving on local drive.

It means your windows pc does not have access rights to write to the nas.

OK, thanks Spoon, but what can be problem? It is only on the first track. It has worked just fine before. It is a warning about a problem with the sertificate when I`m accsessing the NAS. It says that the sertificate is for another WEB area. Can this be the problem? What can I do for fixing this? Thank`s a lot!

You would have to ask on the support site for your NAS manufacturer.
